Lone Star Kart Nationals This Weekend!
Just $5 Adult General Admission
FOR IMMEIDATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – February 18, 2013 - The long wait is over as this weekend the largest indoor kart race in the state of Texas takes place as the annual "Lone Star Kart Nationals" will be taking place on Friday and Saturday night (February 22-23) inside the multi-Purpose Event Center (MPEC) located at the JS Bridwell Ag Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Over 220 entries from across the country have been received and are expected for the two nights of racing action.
And for all you race fans please note, general admission both days will be $5 for adults with children 12 and under just $2.
Not only will the high banked 1/8th mile dirt track be held in doors but the pits will be indoors as well, all out of the elements.
Below is the event schedule as well as associated fees for each division:
Friday February 22, 2013:
?Gates open at 12:00 noon and Pre Tech will start as soon as the gates are open to teams.
?Hot Laps will take place between 3:00 and 5:00 pm.
?Drivers Meeting will take place at 5:30 pm.
?Time Trials at 6:00 pm.
?Pit Passes will be $15.00 for each person on Friday
Saturday February 23, 2013:
?Gates will open at 7:00 am
?Pre Tech will be between 7:00 and 10:00 am
?Driver's Meeting will be at 10:00 am.
?Heat races will start at 11:00 am.
?Feature races will start at 5:00 pm.
?There will be no hot laps on Saturday
?Pit Passes will be $20.00 for crew members
?Driver and kart will be $45.00
Transponders:
?Transponder fee: $10.00
?You can purchase a transponder clip for $8.00
Classes:
Among the divisions that will be competing include: Multi-challenge; Young Gun Beginner; 3.5 HP Beginner; 6.5 Pure Stock Intek; Jr. One Clone; Jr. Two Clone; Jr. Three Clone; 125 Outlaw, 250 Outlaw; Open Outlaw; Stock Animal Gold; Stock Animal; Modified Animal; Flat Stock Animal; Flat RWYB; Flat Stock Med Flathead; Flat Adult Clone; Drift Ring Challenge
The 500 outlaw wing karts will see $1000 go to Saturday night's championship feature winner. Second place for that division pays $750, $500 for third, $250 for fourth and $100 for fifth.
