This is fantastic. Everything about this URA deal is great so far. This sport needs people with a real legacy and actual sprint car racing roots being involved in the decision making.

Henry,,,, I Like the phrase you used,,, every one involved in the decision making,,, Buy god SCOTTY made the decision,,, Its a go,,,,, Take the Methanol and run with it ,,,,and don't LQQK back,,,,, this is the biggest push for sprints cars that I can ever remember of,,,,,,The last time this happened was when they opened up the PAS,,, after the closing of ASCOT !!!!!!,,,, this is really going to be out standing,,,,,,, We are going to have a lot of sprint car racing going on in this season ,,,,Put your driving shoes on ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, We gotta lot of Race Tracks to support this year,,,,,,, Every one needs to bundle up with there Racing buddies,,,,,, And make as many shows as possible,,,,,,,,, Its not going to get any better than this in our life time,,,,,,,,,,,, screw obama,,,,, this all go open wheel Racing,,,,,,,ZZ

UNITED RACING ASSOCIATION NAMES NEW COMPETITION
DIRECTOR
(San Bernardino, CA, February 12, 2013)
The United Racing Association (URA) is pleased to announce
that Steve Ostling has just been assigned the role of Competition Director for
all URA racing events in the 2013 racing season.Everyone at URA and Dirt Entertainment would like to offer our
most sincere welcome to the new organization.
Since his semi-retirement from a very successful sprint car
driving career, Steve Ostling has worked in a similar capacity for open wheel
races at various race tracks throughout the Western States.He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and
experience to the quickly growing organization.But more importantly, Steve Ostling brings a reputation of mutual
respect between himself and the drivers, as well as a professional attitude and
wealth of knowledge about our sport.Everyone at URA and Dirt Entertainment couldn’t think of a better
candidate to work with the team of event staff, drivers, owners, and officials
to ensure that the sprint car and midget events are conducted in a safe, fair,
and professional manner.
The URA season kicks off on Saturday, March 16th
at the Route 66 Motorplex in Victorville, California.Unlimited Sprint Cars, Limited Sprint Cars, Unlimited Midgets,
and Limited Midgets will be on hand to sling some mud at the fast 3/8-mile clay
oval.The following Saturday, March 23rd,
the URA will bring the same classes of cars to the brand-new dirt track at
Orange Show Stadium in San Bernardino, California.
Please join us in welcoming Steve Ostling aboard the
URA…where the Future is Unlimited!!!

I haven't been paying much attention to SCRAFAN these days so would someone please
explain to me what the URA is all about?As for Steve O,the last nail I saw him drive was the
one we pulled out of the right front tire of Don Argo's #19 a few years back.It was holding
up the banner at the top of the turn 1 fence,LOL.Of course he was put up there by someone
else. John

Scotty,
Go ahead,I bag on Steve about that night every once and a while.It wasn't his fault,J Hicks'
brake rotor broke heading into turn 1 and he had no way to stop his car.Steve was on his outside.
Shit just happens I guess,we just laugh about it now....Thanks for the info,I will check it out.
