In the US and Canada an average of 3 gallons of crude oil are consumed per person each day

Yeah, get your electric car. My neighbor drove into his garage with a new Ford Fusion a week ago. I was walking the dog and walked into his garage to see if it was a hybrid. They have to be the biggest hybrid made, a big car, look like about 6 to 8 inches longer than a Taurus or Impala and get 47mph city and highway. Nope, it wasn't. He said he wasn't going to pay the extra $10,000 for a hybrid and then told me that in addition to the $10,000 the federal government/thats us taxpayers, pays/subsidizies manufacturers between $4500 and $6500 per hybrid vehicle it sells/makes, depending on size, cost of vehicle and mileage. Like the "junker" program, the tax payer foots the bill big time and in this case, so to the buyer if he is a green freak.

Can't wait for that first all-electric sprint car race.. I can hear it now.
