Sprint Cars making several stops at I-80 in 2013
I-80 Speedway will be hosting Sprint Cars on several occasions in 2013. First, at the season opening Spring Meltdown on Friday, April 5 & Saturday, April 6, the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest Sprint Car Series will be running complete shows both nights paying $2,500 to win each night. Then on Thursday, May 23 it will the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Dirt Series featuring the stars of the ASCS National Series turn to take to the 4/10th mile oval with $3,000 to win on the line.
On Sunday, June 9, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series promoted by SLS Promotions returns to I-80 after a several year absence. The Outlaws will feature two of Sprint Car racing's greatest legends in 20-time Series Champion & King of the Outlaws Steve Kinser & the versatile Sammy Swindell. Donnie Schatz is the defending champion of the World of Outlaws and is also the defending Knoxville National Champion.
Finally, on Friday, September 20 & Saturday, September 21, the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest Sprint Car Series returns for the popular Midwest Fall Brawl. Last year's Fall Brawl saw both 25 lap Sprint Car features go green-white-checker on a lightning fast racing surface at I-80. Both features will once again pay $2,500 to win.
In addition, two dates have been tentatively added for the Nebraska 360 Sprint Car Series, first, on Thursday, July 18 and then again on Sunday, September 1.
