Paulie Harraka has landed a Nationwide ride with Go Green Racing.
2012 stats:
2 Nationride races 23rd and 26th.
11 Truck races best finish 17th.
Why would people pick on Larson when this goes on all the time?
Kyle would beat this guy everytime.

How many races has the Go Green Team been competitive in? Sometimes people rent a ride from teams that can't win because the price is lower and they can't afford to rent a top ride. I don't know because I don't follow trucks, but sometimes these comparisons are just goofy. there are too many factors that come into play in situations like this. My team is a great example. My sprint car can't win races but I have had guys that can win races who were willing to drive it because money is tight and they want to race. I would never claim that they suck because my car was in the back.

By people you must mean person because I believe only one person has ever accused Kyle or Kyle's parents renting/buying a ride from someone and then everyone else started to have a sarcastic overload to make fun of said person and it probably went too far to the point no one could tell if you were sarcastic or not. As far as Paul is concerned, he may or may not be renting his ride. He actually formed his own company this year for private investors to invest in his racing with all of that money going to him, not any team placing him in a ride. He uses that money for research and development purposes for the rides that he lands I believe. ESPN the Magazine did an article about it earlier this year.

Research and Development for what? I read the article and still don't take anything away from it other than the guy has a marketing scheme to funnel money to himself from rich people who he has been able to associate himself with.
In other words, he doesn't own anything but his name, is not in the business of marketing anything but himself, and is buying rides in race cars so he can feed his addiction at the expense of people who like him.
Not saying it's bad. Not saying it's wrong. A different approach for sure. But in reality, just another person using any means necessary to get in a race car. I guess it beats playing pokemon in your spare time.

Who knows about the research and development. I still would like to know what the investors are actually going to get out of investing him. I don't know if that means that they are sponsoring him or if he is actually going to give them a return on their investment. Could possibly mean to an owner, hey if you sign me I have this money that people have given me that I could throw into the pot for you to help develop your program. Instead of signing a driver, the owner could possibly be getting money out of it too at the start to help the program out. It is definitly different, not sure if it is right or wrong, but different yes. I have never heard of anyone else doing this.

If you want to invest...invest in land.
God isn't making any more!!
Investing in any type of racing makes about as much sense as sitting at a dinner table with Rosie when she has a fork in her hand!
I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM
"PUT YOUR SWEATER ON: DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW WHEN
YOU'RE COLD?"

i know the harraka's personally .......paulie's dad paul and uncle pete at one time owned a speed speed shop but had very wealthy parents that left them a boatload of money.... so what....being jealous never got anyone anywhere.....because paulie's dad was able to afford his racing ....more power to him .....i'd do the same for my kid if i had the money. alot of racers got started because of their wealth. it is just the way life is . no matter how much money you have you still gotta drive the thing

Thats the problem he can't even drive a truck into the top 15th, and now he's moving up in class. What other pro sport works that way?
