Looking for a pic that was on the cover of an old (maybe late 89'?) Open Wheel Cover- It was a front on shot of Brad Noffsinger in a non wing sprint (maybe a drake chassis) with the front end all hiked up and twisted. I beleive the article was ttled "Endangered Species: Non Wing Sprinters" which is interesting now in 12' with the ressurgence of non wing sprint racing has seen. Anyone have this pic?

I'm willing to bet that it is a Mike Arthur photo and probably at Ascot. I can just about picture the image in my head figuring it is probably the 96 and they were either Drakes or Shrikes. I can look tonight but Im willing to bet someone will find it before I do.

Funny someone's mentioning an old open wheel cover. Sorry I don't have the one your looking for, but I just found a copy of Open Wheel #1 in my attic. It's missing the back of the cover, but besides that it's in pretty good shape. If anyone's interested you can email me at [email protected], I would sell it for a hundred bucks.

I have the magazine. I'll try to scan it later when I get home unless someone else beats me to it.

It's priceless to me as far as I'm concerned and I will never let it go. I have Mike Arthur's autograph on mine and when I get around to it I will matt / frame it.

Figures-LOL! I seen one sale on eBay years ago for a hundred bucks, so that's where I came up with that at!

Yeah, whatever it's worth to you is what it's worth I guess. Mine won't get separated from the rest of my complete collection either.

Hey, I remember that cover. That makes me wonder what ever happened to both my Brad Noffsinger shirts from around that time. I guess I used them up.

I miss the old Open Wheel magazine.

I finally gave up on Sprint car & midget as I would be through reading it in about 5 minutes, and I dont like reading fiction stories,so I have never read any of Dave Argabright's monthly series. I do miss Kevin Olson's stories though.

Justin Zoch never got my address changed on Flat Out even though he sent me an e-mail saying he did,so I gave up on that many years ago.

I loved Open Wheel though, they had a bit of everything from driver stories to tech articles. I have most all of the issues including Number 1,although I never thought the first issue was worth anywhere near 100 dollars.

Andrew...

Hey, no doubt you're right that I screwed up the address change back then so let me make it up to you - send me your address and I'll send you a copy of the new issue that goes to the printer on Friday. It's got a brand new, exclusive can't-get-it-anywhere else column from your buddy Kevin Eckert and lots of other great stuff so you don't want to miss it. Send me your address to [email protected] and I'll get one off to you when it comes out.

I dont remember when my subscription ran out. I recieved a few more copies many years ago, just the address never got changed, even after I did everything you told me to do in Knoxville that year which included going to see Beth, who was more interested in talking with her friends and ignored me,to talking to you in person, and you told me to send you an e-mail with my address, which you replied to and said was taken care of,which it never was. After going thru all that, which should have been a very simple thing to do,and not getting it taken care of I just decided that you really didnt want my business, and never renewed. Up to that point I had been a subscriber from about day one when Eckert was the editor.

Again,thanks for the offer,but I'm not interested.

On the bright side, at least you're not bitter and intent on holding a grudge.... wait.....
