A friend that drives A Mods told me last night that he heard that Dobmeier's crew chief has moved to a WoO, PA team or All Star team, wasn't sure. Hope its not true. Would imagine good/great crew chiefs are hard to find. Anyone know who this crew chief is/was and is he from Sioux Falls where the ownership is located or Grand Forks where Dobs is from or ??? Has he been a crew chief to anyone I'd know, i.e., All Stars, WoO, ASCS, etc.

Davey Whitworth was the crew chief for dobmeier and he moved over to the motter motorsports team as crew chief for saldana, team based out of minnesotaminnesota

UPDATE #2 - STRONG RUMOR - (11-19-12 @ 3:15 pm) - I've received word that Joey Saldana and the Motter Motorsports team have hired a crew chief. Davey Whitworth has left the Lundstra Motorsports team that Mark Dobmeier drives for to take over the crew chief duties of the #71m machine. If you go back several years, Davey was the crew chief of the Saldana/Eagle Raceway #17 when Joey owned his own team so they have worked together over the years. Looks like the team is taking shape.

This new team that Motter is putting together should be pretty stout. I am guesing that they will be running Fisher Racing Engines which are always very strong. Joey used to work with them and the Lundsra team with Whitworth have run these engines the last few years.

Dan Motter Motorsports visited the Eagle facility this week to fit Joey Saldana into his new 2013 Eagle Motorsports cars. The Motter Equipment 71M has a full World of Outlaws schedule planned with Joey wheeling Eagle cars and componets. The team, lead by Davey Whitworth, are no strangers to each other having teamed up on past projects. Each individual brings a solid understanding of their role and have focused goals for 2013. Eagle Motorsports is proud to a part and look forward to aiding in the teams acheivements. Welcome aboard!

Joey is working on getting Speedway to build some motors but I doubt thats going to be a good move when KKR was money behind RD and with Joey sueing KKR this could get ugly at this level.

Davey has worked with many teams. Was with the Cormack Burger King on the Outlaws, with Randy Smith a million years ago. Has a very large back ground.

He also wrenched for John Stevenson back in the 80's when he was winning quite a few races around the midwest.

I had the same question, no one knows or wants to say to much. I have googled it, found nothing. Not sure why everyone is so tight lipped about the situation.

Could someone please just give a link to what a few of you are alluding to as far as a lawsuit goes. The only thing I'm finding is articles on the lawsuit Kasey will likely see from the security guard he allegedly pushed a couple weeks ago.
