Last night Racers Care hosted a benefit for "Cowboy" Brian Steinman who was paralyzed in a crash at Lernerville Speedway this year, in Boardman, Ohio. Brad Doty made the two plus hour drive was there to show his support. It wasn't one if those wave and run appearances some celebrities do. Brad was there for hours talking with Cowboy, and sharing great memories with his many, many fans here in the Western Pa area.
I know it meant the world to Cowboy as he and Brad talked for a long time. Thank you Brad for returning home and making even more memories for the many fans you have here. You will always be a larger than life hero to me and more people than you will ever know in Western Pa.

This world needs more people like Brad. Hes a down to earth humble man and very classy. Both times I met him he was exactly how I would expect any of my heroes to act. All the best to the young man who was injured!
when the green flag drops, the bullshit stops!

Mr. Doty defines the word 'hero' and has for some time now. It took him a while after his accident to realize the sprint world needed him and his story and once he figured that out there has been no stopping this wonderful man. I am lucky to know him and have been fortunate enough to have spent time with him in the past which has only made my appreciation of him grow. Fewer people are more humble and classy, don't ever be afraid to introduce yourself to this man, you will be better off for it.....

I have not met Brad personally nor did I get the chance to watch him race, but everything I've seen him do for the sport is beyond heroic. I don't know how I would be after going through something like him that is so life altering, for him to still wake up everyday with the same disire and passion for racing is just impressive to say the least. There are alot of life lessons one could learn from that man if they opened their minds and shut their mouths. Brad- I know you read these so from one person to another, a genuine "thank you."

Thanks to ALL of you for the kind words but you are putting a lot of pressure on me to live up to the hype! Besides, my family could tell you about all my flaws. lol!
As far as going to the Racers for Care get together, that's the least I could do when so many people did things for my family and me after my accident.
A lot of people from the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio area were there and I will always have good a memories of that area, and the people! It was nice getting to see so many old friends that I haven't seen for awhile.
A big thanks to all those who showed up to help raise some money for Brian Steinman!
He has had not only his life, but his wife, and their families lives changed as well.
It's a tough thing to deal with but he seems to be dealing with it as well as anyone can.
Best wishes to him and everyone in his life!
Brad Doty
