Petaluma Speedway's all time winningest driver gets upside down after climbing a right rear. After catching his breath, he starts with the one liners. Side note: he had zero brakes from the time the race started

Who is this guy?

#52 Dave Lindt jr. The race was at Petaluma and it was a heavy hooked up track. Reason for not having brakes was he had crashed the car and put a new rear end in it and ran out of time so he rolled out for the main event. I was in the pits working on another car and I think Dave broke a collar bone and maybe a rib? The car went through the plywood landed on top of the concrete section wall. And yes he is a very funny guy.

The above post is correct on all accounts.
Dave Lindt, Jr. is the all time winningest driver in Petaluma Speedway history, tallying upwards of 60 main events in Sprint Cars and uncounted others. He has won in all different disciplines, be it American Stock, Dirt Modifieds, Late Models and certainly Sprint Cars.
The guy indeed loves life, and the story post crash is almost better than this video. Long story short, he goes to the hospital a week later for lingering pain, they give him some Demerol and turns out he's allergic to it. He goes limp, but is completely conscious and he hears nurses calling for help and not knowing what to do. They give him some anti allergy stuff, whatever that is. He's begging to be let out of the hospital because he thinks he's got a better shot not to die since he just was a zombie basically by just dealing with the pain, but he can't stay conscious long enough to relay the message until finally he just up and walks out and down the road, where his girlfriend sees him about a mile away from his house, where she picks him up in a daze.
This guy's hero is Evel Knievel, and is a walking reality show. That crash ended up forcing him to call it quits, and his son Day Day is going to be flying the blue #52 colors at Petaluma in 2013. Somehow, I don't think Dave will want to end his career with this crash though.
