Was told the Life flight helicopter was called to the track after a nasty crash by a modified going into the pits when the throttle hung wide open....Any info would be appreciated from anyone who was there.

This was taken from another message board. Please keep Mike & his Family in your prayers.
I just want to express my deepest sympathies for Mike, Betty, Justin and Christine Cacak.
Never been a nicer group of people and a true racing family. All have been fixtures at Eagle Raceway and I wish the best for Mike and the long road that awaits him as he recovers from this terrible injury.

As Jason stated, Mike was struck by a competitors car at the track tonight and suffered severe leg injuries as well as some other lesser injuries. The family has stated that he was in surgery for quite some time to repair the lower extremity damage and is currently in intensive care where he will remain while the rest of the damage is being assesed and treatment options evaluated. In keeping with the families wishes no other information will be released at this time as to nature or extent of injuries. Mike will truly have a long road ahead of him to total recovery and as soon as I have information on where to send get well greetings I will post it here for those concerned that wish to send cards. At this time we need to respect their privacy and let the healing begin. We all wish Mike and the family the best and pray for a speedy recovery.
