We had 17 305s last weekend for a regular show. The most all year. Hopefully we will get 20+ for the Grassroots Nationals Saturday night.

Placed identical post on the MidWest 305s forum. They do not have an association race scheduled for this weekend. Hopefully some of the Missouri members may make the pull. Wanted to post few more places but lost password and their lost password links are not working. Think the Mid South 305 Club is turning the corner and this could become a major class in the Memphis area. Still holding out hope they will adopt Racesaver soon as a sanctioned track.

Didn't the 305 class begin as a nonwing class at Memphis? When did they change it to a wing class? And wasn't the car count typically in the 20s as a nonwing class after the first season growing pains?

Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

It was nonwing for a while and about halfway through the 2011 season they put wings on them after Jan Howard took a nasty flip. Very lucky to walk away from that one. 305s use to draw around 20 a night at first then it dwindled down to around 10 a night do to various reasons. Last week we had 17 for a regular show and last night we had 18 for the Grassroots Nationals. Next year looks very promising for the 305 class at Riverside.
