OSP's $10,000 to win Stock Car Nationals Details!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – September 17, 2012 - The 3rd annual Stock Car Nationals is fast approaching and for all of you drivers planning on competing at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Oklahoma for this September 26-29, 2012 event have until Wednesday, September 19th to send in your pre-registration entries. Pre-registration fee is $150 and must be post marked on or before the 19th. Any entries after the 19th will be $200.

Racing action for this $10,000 to win - $500 to start event will get under way on Wednesday night, the 26th with practice and hot lap sessions.

On Thursday night there will be a complete race program. All drivers will draw for heat starting position. Heat race winners will automatically transfer to that nights "A" feature, second place finishers transferring to the "B" feature. Third place heat race finishers will transfer to the "C" feature. All heat race finishers will draw for starting position in "A". The top five cars move from the "C" feature will move to the back of the "B" feature and the five cars from the "B" feature to back of the "A" feature. The top five finishers in Thursday nights "A" feature finale will qualify for Saturday's championship feature finale and will make up the inside of the first five rows. Positions six through ten will start on the inside of Saturday nights "B" feature.

Friday nights format will be the exact same as Thursday nights program with the top five in the nights feature finale making up the outside five rows of Saturday night's championship feature finale with positions six through ten making up the outside five rows of the championship nights "B" feature.

Saturday night's championship finale will have the first five rows already set due to Thursday and Friday night's preliminary nights with the first five rows of the nights "B" feature already set as well. All other drivers will draw for starting positions and compete in a "last chance" race with the top ten drivers tagging the back of the "B" feature. The top ten drivers from that "B" feature will move to the back of the championship feature.

The top twenty non-qualifiers will race in a non-qualifiers race that will pay $100 to positions 1-10 and $50 to positions 11-20.

Kip Hughes of Enid won the inaugural event back in 2010 while Mark Brill took home last year's victory.

Pit passes for Wednesday nights practice are $25 and free admission into the grandstands. Thursday and Friday night pit passes are $30 while grandstand tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and ages eleven through fifteen. Saturday night's pit passes are still $30 while grandstand admission will be $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and ages eleven through fifteen.

Gates open all three nights at 5:00 pm with racing on Thursday and Friday night starting at 7:00 pm. Championship Saturday nights first green flag is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
