Lodging Information for Thunder Fest Late Model Shootout at Thunderbird Speedway!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – September 10, 2012 - In less than three weeks the second annual "Thunder Fest Late Model Shootout" presented by Mark Martin Auto Group of Batesville, Arkansas featuring the Arkansas based Comp Cams Super Dirt Series and the Missouri based MARS late model DIRTcar series will take place at the famed Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Thursday through Saturday night, September 27-29th. And with the amount of interest this event has generated with late model fans from across the region, lodging is the one of the questions that has been posed.
Below is information of several choice hotels for drivers and fans attending Thunderbird Speedway:
Camping is allowed at the Muskogee Fairgrounds and hookups are available for $20 a day. However, you may want to inquire early as there are only twenty of them.

Thursday night, September 27, will see the track will host an open practice session with a big pit party enabling fans to hang out with drivers who show up for the nights practice.
Then on Friday night it all kicks off between the two super late model dirt car series with the nights feature finale winner bringing home $3000.
On championship Saturday night atop the big half mile dirt oval, another complete show will be run and that night's feature finale will pay $5000 to win.
Modifieds will also be in action both nights, both paying $1000 to win and $100 to start. Other support divisions and their information will be announced in the coming weeks.
Will Vaught of Crane, Missouri won this event under MARS DIRTcar sanction last year.
This will be the 13th consecutive season for the Missouri based MARS and their last appearance here was back on April 6th of this year when Billy Moyer, Sr. of Batesville took home top honors over a thirty-six car field.
The youngest of the series, the Arkansas based CCSDS, is in the middle of its sixth consecutive season with their last appearance coming back on May 11th when Jesse Stovall of Galena, Missouri took home the feature win over a thirty-one car field.
