The Midwest Fall Brawl to decide ASCS Midwest Championship

The ASCS Midwest Region Sprint Cars will close out their 2012 season at the Midwest Fall Brawl on Friday, September 21 & Saturday, September 22. Last weekend saw the ASCS Midwest Championship picture change. First, series point leader Stu Snyder is out of action as a result of injuries suffered at a non-wing sprint car race in August. That left the battle for the championship in the hands of Jordan Boston & Jack Dover.

This past weekend, Dover posted second place finishes at the Junction Motor Speedway and at the Nebraska Cup at Eagle Raceway while Boston struggled with a 20th place finish at the Junction and then failed to make the feature at Eagle. As a result Dover now has an 81 point leader over Boston coming into the final two races at the Midwest Fall Brawl.

The Midwest Fall Brawl not only pays $2,500 to win and $300 to win each night, but also offers drivers a number of contingencies. Hot Rod Paintless Dent & Window Tinting has posted $1,000 towards the ASCS King of the Hill to be run at the conclusion of the Saturday, September 22 program. The King of the Hill pays a total of $1,400 with $500 to win, $200 for second, $150 for drivers eliminated in the second round and $100 for drivers eliminated in the first round.

In addition, Hot Rod Paintless Dent & Window is paying $750 each night for the Hard Charger Award. Searsboro Telephone is paying a reverse point fund of $1,200 to drivers who finish sixth thru 15th in total points for the two nights. Sixth in total points will receive $60, seventh $70 with the point fund increasing each position with 15th receiving $200. Electrical Systems is paying $300 each night in the podium challenge. The winner of each night's feature will draw a number between two and five, and the driver who finished it that position will receive $300.

I-80 Speedway will pay the Friday, September 21 pill draw fee for all ASCS drivers who pre-enter. Finally, I-80 is offering a great savings for those fans who buy two day tickets in advance. Through September 17, you can buy two day tickets for just $15. Yes, that's two days for just $15, but if one day rains out there will be no refund. If both days rain out, your money will be refunded. When you buy your tickets in advance, you can vote for your favorite driver. The driver who has the most votes will be guaranteed a provisional for the September 21 feature. To pre-enter or to buy advance tickets, call (402)-342-3453.
