The IRA sanctioned Jerry Richert Memorial at Cedar Lake Speedway will be paying $5000 to the winner this Saturday night, Sept. 8th. The Richert Family always does an outstanding job of rounding up additional money and prizes for this great annual event. Joining IRA will be the UMSS in a dual 410/360 Sprint Car event. Pre-race autograph session, and post race BBQ. Join the fun, the Jerry Richert Memorial this Saturday at the Cedar Lake Speedway. Make a weekend out of it and catch the IRA as they compete in Amsoil Speedway's Northern Nationals on Friday for a $2500 winners paycheck.

I will be there to film both nights. I always have a great time at the Jerry Richert Memorial. Great racing and good food afterwards. This is a must attend race if you are in the area and while you are at it the Amsoil track is not too far away to make it there Friday for the Northern Nationals as well.

Great to hear you will be there Gunner, your work is among the best in the business. Do me a favor and say a big hello to Steve Sinclair and to Mr. Tatnell for me and tell Brooke that he's still my Daughter's favorite driver and she met an awful lot of 'em in our travels.....

Outside of the Nationals, this is the best sprint car weekend in the upper midwest! Superior is a very nice high bank and usually draws a good field of sprinters. For my money, the Richert Memorial is the best single night of the year. Both the 410's and the 360's usually put on a good show. Should be half a dozen or so Knoxville regulars in addition to the IRA. I hear that the non-wing cars will also be in attendance and looking forward to seeing how they have progressed after a year of racing.

Non wing sprinters were not included in the show this year unfortunately frown

74 degrees for a high and 0% chance of rain predicted for Saturday. Perfect! Always look forward to this show every September. Little bit of a drive from SE WI, but since the biggest city we go through to get there is Wausau, it's always a pleasant trip.

Typically one of the deepest fields of the year for the IRA, and $5000-to-win should be good incentive for some top notch teams to show. Besides Tatnell, Balog, Reinke and other IRA regulars, I would assume we'll be seeing Heskin, Winters, Whitney, Dobmeier, Zomer and Henderson? Looks like the McCarls have decided to only run Husets this weekend, according to Terry's twitter account. I hear Scotty Thiel is also planning to make the trip to run with the UMSS too. Who am I missing?

Should be a great night!

Sorry to hear that. Guess I'll have to catch them another time. I had heard from a usually reliable source while I was at the Nationals that they would be there.

We should meet up. It would be nice to put a few faces to the names.

I'd like that. I know you must be busy with your taping for most of the evening, but if you care to specify a time and place at the track, I'll do my best to be there.

Sounds like a great field of cars is going to be on hand. On my way to Superior then to Ceder Lake!

Kertscher won, Doebmeier, Tatnell, Henderson, and Balog who came from the tail after spinning on the 2nd lap.

Kaley Gharst won the UMSS 360 show.

Great night of racing.

Even though Mike is a seasoned driver, I still felt like he was the underdog going into the A last night, given who was starting behind him. He drove a great race and we were happy to see him get the W. Overall great night of racing. Heck, even the vintage guys put on a hell of a show! Those vintage mods were definitely not there just to do parade laps, lol!

Congrats to the Richert family for organizing a great event!
