Yeah I'm sure they felt good cuz daddy told him they felt good... No one else got to test just him, a kid who has been there not even a hand full of times this year... Sounds like a perfect driver to have test..... He must have a pretty mouth or something....

Is it really something to get that worked up over? How many drivers would really want to go out there
and burn 20 laps on an engine and fuel. Hooser isn't going to give free tires to every competitor when
they can learn the same amount on one car.

I seriously doubt any drivers verbal input would carry much weight with either Knoxville or the tire makers doing the test. The tire maker and track officials involved will be looking at wear, heat, sidewall and tread degradation due to low or high pressure inflation along with some cycle of race conditions at various points. Sure I can imagine in small talk "what did you think" might be bandied about but that is almost like a courtesy question from the track and makers.

Why make this sound like a high tech tire test with 100 enginerse combing thru each molecule of the tire. They went out and ran about 20 laps, came in and then ran about 10 laps. I do not know with 1 tire or with 2 different compounds. The tire test was to test a tire with lower cost, but a good safe race tire.

I was told that the tire was actually the same tire the 360's run on every week. (ASCS Medium).
My understanding is they ran the same tire both sessions...CZ

Well if that is the case let's all hope that American Racer MC2 is the tire of choice. The Hoosier medium is the biggest money racket out there. Knoxville has been making the 360's run that tire for the last 3 or 4 years and the teams usually toss them out after 15 - 18 laps because they seal up so fast and there is no way to get the glaze off the tire. Not to mention that Hoosier cost the 360's more then the Goodyear cost the 410's. #ifitdontsave$itdontmakesense!
