All you want to be. You take a incident at a USAC race to bash Sammy. Of course it's people like you that helps to fill grandstands to watch people you dont like maybe get crashed or hurt. All of you that can't use your name cause your scared and hide behind it start bashing.

Ok, where is the car for anyone to drive? Great point! Swindell should be penalized like Jones was. Reckless and endangering driving shouldn't be tolerated. He is a threat to anyone he races with. If USAC was WoO, he would be banned for life.

" If USAC was WoO, he would be banned for life."
....and he and Steve would still be winning most of the races!
I have no Sammyshirts (nor Steve for that matter) but I continue to be amazed at how people
harp about his "rough driving" but give their "favorite" a pass when he does the same.
Go figure.

i agree. Im a Dollansky fan and he has been bashed a time or 2 but it's different when it's the Prince Kraig Kinser or someone else. some people get out of bed in the morning just to hate.

I bet most of the Sammy bashers, when it comes to NASCAR, were Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fans, too.

This is the dumbest conclusion you could ever make. Swindell wouldn't be the same in USAC, just as he was never good enough to race anything beyond sprint cars. Easier to throw a wheel at someone in a sprint car and get away with it. Just hard racing, of course. He has no control over his car, of course.

No MissouriSprintFan, a lot of people couldn't stand Dale Sr. when he was alive and his "intimidating" and when he died he was the greatest there ever was.

David, I'm sure you're right that many jumped on the bandwagon after the fact, but he did still have a rather large fan base before his death. Point I was trying to make is that if you were/are a Dale Sr fan you have no right bashing any other racer for "intimidating" driving.

I don't care which driver is bashed on here but the one doing "the bashing" couldn't carry the briefcase of the one they are bashing when it comes to racing a sprinter!

As far as USAC, you must not know much about the history of the WoO. Sammy won many nonwing races before the existence of the WoO and many nonwing WoO races, against competition as good or better than USAC, before the WoO went strictly wings. Matter of fact, his WoO Championship years of '81 and '82 were still when he WoO ran with and without wings. Oh, he also has, is it 5 Chili Bowl titles, against the best USAC has to offer. You also mentioned that he was never good enough to race anything beyond sprint cars. In my opinion, the best race car drivers in the world ARE sprint car drivers. I guess with your theory, guys like Steve Kinser, Jan Opperman, Jack Hewitt, and others, just because they didn't have success in Indy cars or NASCAR aren't good race car drivers.

mwilaski, you need to seriously consider taking a break and maybe see your doctor. You're starting to babble and type jibberish.

also how do you crash someone else without crashing yourself. Sammy wants to win more than anyone elso on tour. I do not think he goes out to crash someone. For the young kids in stands, Sammy has raced all kinds of non wing races. Sammys NASCAR racing was short lived. His car owner pulled the plug after just a few races. Also it was found that who ever put the car together bolted a front end part backwards. Steve Kinser also ran alot of non wing races, he also ran some usac races. Steve has about 900 feature wins, not what woo says. Steve had a very short nascar run. Steve was going into it 100% , moving down south. He got there and found team was for sale and all the help was leaving. Steve also ran an Indy 500 race and did well. Steve also won a IROC race.

I remember seeing Sammy just miss making the Indy 500. Had he made it, he probably would be driving Indy Cars and/or NASCAR today. He could easily be a top NASCAR driver now.
I believe Steve Kinser did try Indy and NASCAR. In my mind Doug Wolfgang would have made a great NASCAR and Indy driver. Looked to me they all loved Sprint Cars and were very successful. I have as much respect for any of them as I do any Indy or NASCAR, F1 drivers, they are definately among the best of all time.
