Lawton Speedway Winter Nationals Information Released!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – August 28, 2012 - It is hard to believe but in just one month, the 23rd annual Lawton Speedway Winter Nationals will close the curtain on yet another year of exciting dirt track racing at the Lawton, Oklahoma quarter mile red clay oval. And with the time drawing closer, track officials have released payout and driver registration forms for this annual event, set to take place on Friday and Saturday night, September 28-29, 2012.

All five divisions featuring the tracks championship sprints, USA modifieds, USA limited modifieds, factory stocks and mini stocks will be competing both nights and as always, mufflers will be required on all race cars and Lawton Speedway rules apply.

The itinerary for both nights racing action look like this:

Friday night – Heats and features will be run for all divisions with weekly payout in affect. No heat race money will be paid. The top four drivers in Friday nights "A" feature will be locked in to Saturday night's feature finale with those four drivers drawing for position in those first two rows.

Saturday night – Remaining cars or any new entries will run heat races and "B" features for position in the "A" feature finale.

Championship features will see the championship sprint and USA modified features pay $1000 to win and $100 to start the twenty car field. The factory stock and limited modified championship feature winners will earn $400 while just starting the twenty car field will earn $40. The mini stock division will pay $300 to win Saturday night's feature finale and $30 to start.

Pre entry fee before September 21st for the champ sprints and USA modified divisions are $25 while the USA limited modified, factory stock and mini stock division pre entry fee is $20. Post entry fee after September 21st will be $50 for the champ sprints and USA modifieds and $40 for the USA limited modified, factory stock and mini stocks.

Make sure you beat the rush and the deadline and fill out your entry form and send that along with your payment as soon as possible.

Gates for both events will open at 5:00 pm with racing action slated for an 8:00 pm.
