Anyone watch the Bristol night race last night? They finally made the changes to the track that fans were yelling for. They shaved a couple of degrees off the top of the track in hopes of bringing the racing down to the bottom and making it more difficult to pass, thus making the racing more physical and more exciting. That part backfired on them, but I thought the end result was much better than what they had hoped for. The cars laid down rubber and the top of the track became the fast line. There were slide jobs like crazy. I thought it was the best Bristol race I had seen. No easy passing. They may start putting people back in the stands if the racing stays like that. Still not Knoxville or Eldora, but it was at least entertaining again.

Kenny Wallace hit right on the head when he tweeted right after it that Bruton Smith has got to be smiling about the incident!
Just my $.02 worth.
