I disagree. Steve Kinser has won more races and WoO championships than anybody. He does not need to prove anything to anybody when it comes to sprint car racing. At this point in his career I can't see him being eager to make a change now. I'm not sure how long he's been with Gerkin and Randy Kinser but I would guess it has been a long time. He's second in points... I don't think the grass can get much greener for him especially at his age.

The grass can be greener...have you seen Sammy Swindell race lately

Steves motor took off just fine, he had to ease into the throttle , car wouldn't sit down when he gassed it up due to Integra(gas) shocks and Steve don't mix. he tried gas shocks last year at nationals and took them off after hot laps. and went right back to his old faithfuls (Pro twin tubes), Scott likes the Integras, but sometimes you can't teach a old dog new tricks. jmo,

It is hard to second guess Kinser/Gerkin for their motors. After all, both Steve and Kraig are in the top 6 in points and their engine record speaks for itself. Remember Gerkin used to build the motors for Karl Kinser too. Getting the motors to run right goes in cycles. Right now, it looks like they are down in HP but give them some time and they'll figure it out.

I'm sure the fellas at SKR are reading this and listening. I bet they're ordering motors from someone right now! LMAO, isn't there anything else to talk about?

I believe Steve and Kraig Kinser need to get a new engine builder/supplier. My reason for this is because they have the most troubles in the WoO series, yes Steve maybe 2nd in points, but it seems like every night I see 11 or 11k doing a motor change. I have major respect but u don't see Schatz, Swindell, Saldana, & etc changing motors as mush as Steve or Kraig. Like I said I have major respect for Scott, but I believe they should have someone else building motors so Scott can fine tune and work on the car.

these engines were dyno tested, they would not put an engine in that lacked HP. They also know what parts to use to make motor last. A bad hanleing car often looks like motor is week

There's a lot of experts here that seem to know what is going on, ya'll need to call the SKR shop & tell these guys where they are going wrong! I am sure they will take your expert advice so they can sort their shit out. LMFAO at armchair racers!

Isn't this what hosehead forums are about to discuss your thoughts and opinions on races? I'm guessing you are one of the users on this site that would rather bash McCarl, or Sammy...or maybe talk about politics or something that has nothing to do with racing.

We're not saying we're experts we are just putting our opinion in and talking about racing on a website where u can do that kind of thing so it seems to me u must think ur some kind of expert when u post something like that on here

I have drank the Kinser kool-aid for years and have drank enough of it to last a lifetime and I'm as die hard fan as it gets, but lets be real. Whether it be a motor issue, car issue or I believe a combination of both. He's NOT FAST!

Dollansky is fast, Swindell is fast and Schatz now is getting fast. They all proved how fast they were last week and Steve couldn't get out of his own heat either night(Wednesday or Friday). He can't run with those three guys consistently. That was proven last week when he only got out of one B-Main. The car was junk and the motors clearly are not up to the other motors on the tour.

Steve is good, but he's not fast. He missed the Nationals and he almost missed the Kings Royal. Oh by the way, they put a different motor in between the heat and the B because it laid down and the one they put in didn't even fire so they had to change to another one(third of the night). Familar theme here?

He only has 3 wins this year and two have come from the front row and I think two of them may have went rubber down. How many fast times does he have, none! Dollansky has 8, Swindell has 8 and for as bad as Saladana has been he has 6. Their motors run!!

I'll will say, that if something doesn't change in that program between now and the end of the year he will not win a 21st title. They better figure out the car and the motors because it appears that neither is fast enough on a nightly basis to outrun the aforementioned drivers for title 21.

Kinser just needs to get down to 1400 lbs to win the title.

Until someone breaks his records, he's still The King.

short1988..I like what you said.

I am quite sure there were probably no more upset people than the 11 team as to their motor problems at K'ville...assuming that was the problem. Hard to imagine him missing the show...as well as Sammy. I don't know that I would have cared to be around either of them later that evening...or even the next day!
