people were no longer showing up to the race on saturday, staying in town and watching it from their campers/homes etc. since then, the crowds have at least looked bigger.

That was always cappi and the fair boards blanket response. but I never noticed the crowds any smaller the years it was live.
I believe it has more to do with money up front or under the table wanted from all parties involved. and WRG wanting a slice of the pie.

I think it had a lot to do with the Lasoski fight in the pits, that was live, and with language. Doesn't look good for the sport, plus it is a very large block of time to block off on the channel.

TV loves stuff like drama. If not, they just would've cut to something else and not replay it a bunch of times.

Lasoski watched from the HoF suites.
I'll boycott the Speed broadcast since it isn't live. I don't really care about the reasons why it isn't done live.

It's not SPEED...it's knoxville...I don't blame them...unless they want to charge 100 for pay per view on Saturday...Which myself and buddies would pay! Lol...I get it though....

Yeah I would hate to block off three hours of AMA motorcycle racing or 3 hours of grand puke or whatever the hell speed shows nowadays. I am a gear head and racing enthusiast but I watch maybe .5 hrs of SPEED channel a week, Thats just sad.
