Another WoO victory. I'm amazed that he keeps winning. It's unheard of to be able to beat WoO regulars like this. I don't see any way he sits out the nats
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

I think his other job at Watkins Glen that weekend might have something to say about it.

Yeah he'd have to qualify Wednesday night so he wouldn't have to run Friday's program. It'll be interesting to see if he can make that happen.

Has he ever been to Knoxville in a 410?

i would love to see it but not at the risk of him getting hurt and costing him the nnascar title. people race a lot harder at Nats. but i would like to see what he can do. maybe when he retires from cup.

My guess would be by switching drivers, if they even let you, you would lose all accumulated points.

I don't think it will EVER happen while he is racing in CUP.

TSR puts a TON of effort into their 2 car team of Kinser and Schatz and don't want to distract from their goal of winning the Nationals by adding a car to the mix for Smoke. Their GOAL is to WIN the Nationals, adding another car to that week (in addition to their other stuff like paint schemes, contests) hurts that effort.

I agree Vande, it would just be too much especially with a cup practice probably Fri or Sat. and a race on Sunday.

It would be nice to see him give it a shot. The flight from New York to Iowa might be too much though. Maybe if Nascar is back in Michigan again for that weekend he may give it a try. I know a couple of years ago I saw Kasey watching his teams at the Nationals when Nascar had Michigan scheduled that weekend.

As good as he is at Watkins Glen, i would think he could skip practice, and have Ryan Newman, or someone else practice the car for him

your very likely right about practice, I don't know that much about Nascar, I didn't know if that pre-race stuff is mandatory or not. Tony being a co-owner probably also has abit more liberty to skip stuff if he'd like without getting a talking to the day after the race.

I've seen tony do some crazy stuff. At the 06 royal he was there all night as I was leaving at 2am he was making his way to the infield. I went back to the hotel and fell asleep. I woke up turned the NASCAR race on and there he was running at new Hampshire.
