It looks as if Wednesday Night is tougher than Thursday. 35 pts to 30.
I score it by Red - 3 pts Orange 2 pts Yellow 1 point. Night with the most points is "better" comp.
I like to hear the complaints/criticism so please let me hear it, However i've listed some comments on some of the drivers people might find with controversial rankings.
- Larson - Watched him for the first time Saturday night, that kids is very impressive
- A. Mccarl - Hasn't ran full time at kville, but made the A last year.
- Sweet - Sure he sat on the front row last year, but fell off
- Henderson - Almost made an orange, been very quick in that car
- Gravel - Very young, however he has been quick all over the country.
- Lasoski - Hasn't performed that great a the nationals in some time or really with the outlaws
- Dararah- Kid def. tore some stuff up, but he's been fast this year at times.
- K. Kinser - Former nats winner, on top of quick this season def. a threat
- Meyers - I'm really unsure of this since he hasn't race much on top of a new team.
- T-Mac - Would love to give him more points, but hasn't been that spectacular this season
- Pittman - Always quick at big money races
- J. Johnson - Been quick at kville (also wanted to stop the ascs fans from complaining)
- W. Johnson - I know hes fast with the ascs...completely different than 410

Dusty Zomer needs to be at minimum a 1, IMO a 2, he's fast at Knoxville and has had success during the Nats in years past.
Davey Heskin, IMO a 2 He's been fast all year and has previous success at the Nats.
Bronson Maeschen should be a 1 just for the fact that he'll put in a good TT lap taking valuable points from other top teams.
Danny Lasoski, IMO needs to be a 3 Sure he hasn't done much the last couple years, he hasn't had a whole lot to work with though. This year he's going to be in the best equipment he's had at the Nats since the Artic Cat 33. He was on the front row of the A that year.
Brian Brown IMO is a 3 as well, at least if you're listing Dollansky and Saldana as 3's .
He's been very fast all year everywhere he's been and been oh so close to victory with the WoO on a couple occasions. He knows his way around the half mile as good as anyone.

- Zomer I can agree with is a 1.
- Heskin with a 2 im not to sure about
- I understand he's the points leader and all but the competition at Kville hasn't been that strong.
- I stand by feelings of Lasoski...he was in the 6 car didnt do crap, when he was in artic cat car I believe it was the same 33 he's driving now
- How can you classify Brown as the same talent as Saldana and Dollansky...Dollansky is the current WoO point leader and Saldana is sitting 4th it points. I stand by Brown as a 2.
- Madsen was kind of hard to decided, he's win it or wear it...He tears a lot of stuff up...but he's been pretty fast. I leaned towards the 1 because the inconsistency.

Brian Brown was on the pole of the Nationals two years ago and last year I believe he finished 7th.
He has been fast when the WoO came to town at Knoxville. Ran 4th and 3rd this year.
I think he deserves a 3.

I think Wed is tougher because it has 5 (Schatz, Steve, Saldana, Dollansky, Madsen) of the top 7 WoO teams and Shane Stewart. Thursday has some good teams as well, but Sammy got a bit of a break in my opinion.

Terry mcCarl as a 1???? I spilled my drink when I saw that. Are you kidding me? Hes at least a 7 even though 3 is the max.
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

Yeah, you have completely underestimated Knoxville Regulars. Brown is a 3 the way he's run at Knoxville and other local Outlaw shows this year. Jeffry, Droud, Maeschen, Zomer get 0's.... Wow. Zomer is a a 2, all others at least 1's. Heskin is a 2 or 3.
Wednesday is tougher at the top. Thursday is deeper. Damn those lists are both tough. Can't wait for Wednesday.

Lasoski owned the 33 Artic Cat car just the same as the 33 car he is currently driving. It was under funded last year and the same can be said about the 6 car prior to that.
The last time he had a top notch/fresh motor for the Nats was with the Artic Cat $'s.
He will be racing the Zemco car at the Nats this year. He'll be locked into the A on Sat night.
Speaking of Zomer and Heskin I expect both of them to make the show and 1 of them will be in the top 10.
Brown is going to make the show and I'd expect a top 10 as well. In my mind he's got just as realistic of chance of being in the top 5 as any driver not named Schatz, S Kinser, or Sammy.
Neither Saldana or Dollansky have been dominate at Knoxville, ever.
You are severely underestimating the talent and cars that race at Knoxville weekly.

Saldana has 3 2nds and has led more laps than any non-winner.

But yet he's never won the Nats and he's only found victory lane a grand total of 5 times at Knoxville.
Good but not great.
IMO to more accurately rank drivers there needs to be more than 3 star levels.
I find it hard to rank guys that have never won the race in the same category as guys that are past winners and still in their prime.

Just throwing out some opinions
Wednesday:
The way you are throwing out points, there is no way Tony Bruce deserves a point over the likes of Henry, Swindell, Jeffrey, Droud, Hafertepe, Lynch, Selvage, Phillips.
If I'm not mistaken, Droud was in the A last year and Rager Phillips would have made it had he not run out of fuel. Like said before, you are underestimating the Knoxville locals.
Sam Hafertepe at no points in that potent car is a little crazy, IMO.
Thursday:
No doubt Zomer needs at least point and you can make a case for a point to the best qualifying specialist around, Bronson Maeschen.
Nationals rookies Sebetto, Schuhart, Starks and McFadden could all make big splashes as well.
I'd personally take away a point from Herrera.
Is it just me or does this years lineup seem stiffer than usual?

I am not sure if it's the lineup being stiffer or the competition is just so close right now. There are 40-50 cars that have a legitimate shot to make the A and 20 or so who wouldn't surprise me if they won. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds starting one week from today!!

- If you think Madsen is a 3 then I'll have whatever you're having
- T-Mac as a 1 is not my favorite thing, however he hasn't performed great since he's been out of the big game car. If he wins it all I would be one of he happiest people for him.
- Brown as a 3...how many outlaw races has he won this year? I think he's a 2 and that's firm in my book
- As for the kville regulars its hard for me to be honest about them since I go there all the time...I probably judged them harshly trying not be bias towards them. However I don't think Droud or Jeffery deserve points regardless. I know they both have made the A a few times but I find them very inconsistent come nationals time
- I expected some backlash on TBJ being given some points, I could take it or leave it.
- Henry 7th in the D last year = 0 points
- Lynch wasn't there Saturday in 11' and is pretty lack luster lately = 0
- Droud 17th in the A last year = I could possibly see 1 pt
- Hafertepe 14th last year = possibly 1 again
- Selvage 18th in the B and currently 9th in points = 0 points
- Phillips 10th in the B and currently 13th in points = 0 points
- Zomer 4th in the D last year and 3rd in points = 1 point possibly, 2 are you high?
- Jeff Swindell, how long has it been since he's ran a 410? And that's not a real quality ride = 0 pts
