Patriot Sprint Tour Event at McKean CountyMoved to August 4th
Rain Pushes Back Long-Awaited Returnto Smethport One Week
Rich Vleck, ROCHESTER, NY, (July 28, 2012)- It has been more than sixyears since the Patriot Sprint Tour has been to the McKean County Raceway; andon the day the return was expected, Mother Nature decided to push it off oneweek later.
The Patriot Sprint Tour race at McKean County Raceway will now becontested next Saturday, August 4 on the 1/3-mile oval. It had been atumultuous week in Smethport, PA after heavy storms knockedpower out at the track until late Friday Night. Heavy rains late Friday nightand into Saturday morning gave the MCR Ownership group no choice but topostpone the night of racing.
Action is heating up on the PST tour with Bryan Howland leading TimKelly by just 10 points heading in to the final month of the season. DefendingChampion Jared Zimbardi will be the fan favorite at the closest track on tourto his home.
