Enid Speedway to Host NCRA Sprint Cars This Sunday Night!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – July 15, 2012 - For the first time since 2004, the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Martens Machine 360 sprint car division will invade the Garfield County Fairgrounds and Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma this coming Sunday night, July 22
The "winged warriors" of the tour will be led by current series point leader C.J. Johnson of Quinter, Kansas. Johnson has two feature victories thus far this season and is coming off a strong second place finish this past Saturday night during the Hutchinson Grand Nationals.
Also scheduled to compete will be tour regulars Jeremy Campbell, veteran Mike Peters, Marc Robe, Barry Gifford, Jon Freeman, Jeff and Patrick Stasa, Jake Martens, Gavin Punch and Kris Miller. A strong rookie contingent will also be on hand including Zach Blurton, Wyatt Burks, Jordan Weaver and Taylor Milton.
Close to thirty drivers from four states are expected, among them include third-generation sprint car driver Danny Jennings of Norman, Oklahoma with more drivers from the Oklahoma City area predicted.
Four events have been completed on the 2012 season schedule with Jason Johnson and Campbell joining C.J. Johnson as feature winners. Both Johnson's had their victories come at 81 Speedway while Campbell's came this past weekend at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
Also competing Sunday night will be the southern sport modified, street stock and pure stock divisions.
Gates open at 5:00 pm with racing scheduled for a 7:00 pm start time. Grandstand adult tickets are just $12 while tickets for kids are $5.
