KISS Back In Action At Paragon On Saturday

June 22, 2007 –- With just three events remaining in the pursuit of the 2007 King of Indiana Sprint Series championship, the series returns to action at Paragon Speedway Saturday night. At stake, not only the $2,500 for winning Saturday’s feature, also points toward the largest point purse in KISS history and the KISS Champion’s Helmet.

Jon Stanbrough claimed four of the previous KISS events this season, with Billy Puterbaugh and Shane Cottle winning the most recent races, at Lincoln Park Speedway and Kokomo Speedway. Stanbrough continues to lead the standings in his quest to become the only three-time King, however his advantage has narrowed to just 45 points.

Two of the four previous KISS races at Paragon Speedway were won by Kevin Briscoe, with Matt Westfall and Kent Christian capturing the other two. However Stanbrough has a history of victories in big races at the oval. Saturday’s grandstand admission at Paragon will be $15 and pit passes are $30. The grandstand gates open at 5 pm, with hot laps at 6 and racing at 7:30 pm. The program will include street stocks, bombers and pure stocks. Additional information is available at www.paragonspeedway.com.

The series will resume with an Independence Day celebration at the Terre Haute Action Track on Saturday, June 30. The 2007 King of Indiana Sprints will then be crowned at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt on Sunday, July 8.
