Did Ott really have a Ford in on Saturday nite? It wasn't a chev with the old splayed valve heads? Any details would be great? Did it break? Thanks in advance.

Why would they run a 360. Looks like a steel block and no down nozzles.

^ have you been to Lincoln lately? a 5HP Briggs probably has the best chance of hooking up there....

Very good point.

I've been to 4 races in the past 6 months where a smaller class motor beat the field.
RoC mods at Lincoln, 358 beat the bigblocks
Hagerstown last year a 358 mod beat the big blocks
305 beat the 358 sprints at path two weeks ago
When there is little traction, torque beats HP and a heavy foot is a loser. Just about any motor can win with the tracks the way they are the past two-three years. JMO.

I don't understand how you can Tell the dif. between a Chevy or Ford Sprint car motor by looking at a pic.

When was the last time you seen a Chevy sprint car engine with the plug wires coming from the front?
Also, those headers are a dead give away.

Chevy 360 has spread port headers. The Ford doesn't. The headers bolt on like most PA 358's.

Newer Generation chevrolets do have the mag/distributor in the front FYI... I thought I read on his FB page, that it was a newer Gen III or IV motor, but I may be mistaken. I don't care if its a ford or chevy, as long at its sling'n mud.

Not sure but I thought the Schatz 42X had symmetrical ports and it was a Chevy?

While nobody would ever accuse me of being an Aaron Ott fan, it is about time the Schatz engine is tested on Posse Soil.
