I am sorry but I have to vent/release...
When my little brother was born, he had to be tube fed and there were a lot of problems. Dad, the doctors and other members of the family thought there was no chance of him making it but Mom was damned if she was going to let him go that quick.
She worked with him, fed him, stayed up each and every night with him taking care of him. He had a rough childhood health wise but would pull out of it.
Then six years ago he had a big brain tumor. Doctors at OU Med Center said there was no chance and if there was one he would make it he would be a vegetable. But he made it through but that is where problems began. Speech wasn't that good, he had numerous seizures and my sister-in-law had to numerous times give him CPR and get his tough out of his mouth - to which he bit so hard he bled.
OU staff he was a miracle - once again.
He had been in and out of the hospital numerous of times because of those seizures and here at the end he was resorted back to a feeding tube.
This morning she awoke and found him unconscious as he had another seizure but it had been too long. She tried getting him back but couldn't this time. Ambulance workers tried but said there was no hope.
Once he got to the ER his doctor come in, ran tests and told her he was brain dead and recommended her signing D&R papers. They have been signed and are awaiting until everybody who wants to see him has done so before they unhook him. They are now going to see if he is qualified as an organ donor. Then they will unhook him.
I am sorry to ramble, sorry to post and vent but I have to get it out of my system to give you a little back ground.
That is why I say he is now back with Mom so she can take care of him, no longer suffering.I love you my little brother, RIP.
Again I am sorry for posting, just needed to.
