Happened this past weekend at Grayson County Speedway. Officials told him to get out and go ask the official with the board his question so he got out of his car to ask. In the meantime, here is what the wrecker driver done.

Word is this has a lot of drivers and fans going elsewhere from now on.

Ha Ha, reminds me of the olden days. Don't know anything about the situation but the way the driver acted, I'll bet there is some past history there.

That is funny. If I was that mad to get outbid my car on the front stretch then I would prolly be looking to try to land a hay-maker on the wrecker driver. Lol Although its pretty funny not the smartest actions by the wrecker driver. It tore up a sign that's gonna cost the track money and could bring in some negative publicity to the track. Rather it's good or not who knows cus they could pack the stands with people wanting to see the same thing again lol

I've read about the shows Andy Granatelli used to put on at Soldier Field. There would be a fake wreck and the ambulance would come out and load the driver. They wouldn't latch the back door and as they would take off, they would start the race and they would kick a dummy on a gurney out the back door in front of the race cars. Packed 'em in every week.

Maybe this was the same kinda deal.

It's been years since I was at Grayson County, or Bells as it was back then, but it was a Hell Hole first class. Only place I can recall where the hobby stockers were driving in bib overalls with nothing under them. Talk about TMI! Looks like they've improved the guard rail, which was single drill pipe on the backstretch, but the lighting looks about the same. The second turn was reverse camber and I think the third turn ended in an embankment. All that being said, they packed the joint with really enthusiastic fans. As for this guy, how much damage is a plywood sign going to do to a modified? You get in, fire it up, and take out the sign NEXT to it on the way to another track where you don't feel cheated. Smile

Below is what he said had happened:

Chad 31fan let me help you with your ignorance. I was not "unhappy" with lap cars being in the field. I have no problem with that and I think thats the way it should be. The lap car pulled off the track so I assumed I would be back on the inside where the 2nd place car normally is.

When I come back around I see the board has the #18 on the inside and me on the outside with the lap car (#30) no where on the board. I was unsure as to why we were lined up this way. I thought it may have been an error in scoring as the #30 and #18 look very similar. I stopped to ask a track official.

The track official stated that "Eric has the board, talk to him" so I attempted to stop on the front stretch and ask Eric about it as I was told to do. Before I could even stop I was black flagged. It would have took Eric (the board man) 5 seconds to explain to me why I was in 3rd place now instead of 2nd and I would have been fine with starting there but that obviously wasn't the case.

As far as me getting out of the car...At that point I could care less about holding up a race that I just got screwed out of. I got out to talk with the board man about the line up (like I was told to do) and obviously that wouldn't work with me in my car since he wouldn't come up to me. The wrecker driver saw that I was not in my car and had no right to push in through the signs. If they wanted it moved they should have hooked up to it and towed it where they wanted to.

There's not a whole lot to say about it. Someone gets screwed there weekly, guess it was just my turn this time. That will be my last trip there, I heard many other drivers and fans say the same thing last night and I hope its holds true. If nobody shows up it will make it hard for them to screw people over.

Nobody even knows who made the calls last night. There was nobody actually running the track, just a bunch of track workers with no direction. After everything calmed down I asked to speak with whoever made the call. I was told that I couldn't do that and that they would call me this week to talk about it.

So I expect to be hearing from Greg this week with an apology and a check for my 2nd place winnings

Also I would like to thank all the fans for there support. They probably are the most loyal fans any race track could ask for. Its just a shame that have to put up with the BS week after week. I hope they can find a new race track in the area to support!
