Danny Jennings' In car camera view at Devil's Bowl ASCS last weekend. You can clearly see from the video that the camera is mounted behind Danny's head. Everyone on here was claiming that Danny saw Zach and chopped him off. If the camera doesn't show Zach, how in the world did Danny see him? I have included the previous 3 laps to show that Danny runs the exact same line entering Turn 1 everytime. He ran there the entire race, I just cut out the beginning of the race. I think 4 laps is enough to prove that he didn't come down intentionally to "chop Zach off". Also, enjoy the footage of Zach running over Danny (the race leader) at full speed as they were pacing under caution. It's amazing what video evidence can prove.

Jamie I am glad you posted this to show all the ra tards how stupid they really are!!! Danny has always been a class act, and I and anyone else that loves to race, would have done the same thing. After someone pulls such a bone head move as Zach (spoiled brat) did. Its called passion folks

I have watched this video and still say Danny chopped him off if as you say he ran the same line that is not true on the lap that he chopped zac he was pointing to the first tire in turn 1. on the other 3 laps he aimed for the 2nd tire in turn 1 so i conclude he did know he was there and cut him off going down the straight. just callin them like i see them glad you guys had that camera to prove what we all saw.

I guess the car running second forgot how to use his left foot until it was too late and spun himself out..

Camera only shows left front, driver can see more. Sounds like a racing deal to me. Really dumb move though taking someone out under caution and putting officials at danger.

I think Johnny Herrera had a VER similar encounter with Zach Chappell earlier this year in Arizona. Zach took Johnny out while Johnny was running 2nd. Johnny got out of his car and did the same thing Danny did. Zach remained strapped in his car with helmet on for safety? Fear? Chicken? I wish I knew how to post that video. Zach has a history of this chicken shit behavior.

No racer leading a feature and running low in the corners is going to just give up his line to another racer - and this isn't Zach's first rodeo - he should have known it too and braked. My husband wouldn't have let him have the line either - thats for sure. And Danny's not the first (nor will he be the last) driver to start swinging before helmets come off - there is so much happening so quickly no one is going to be like - hey sir- I'd like to scream at you - could you please take a moment to take your hans and helmet off real quick? Yeah right. We love racing against Danny and while there are a lot of drivers I get nervous about - he has never been one. And finally - I agree with 21wforacer - that offical almost got taken out under caution - why is no one mentioning how Zach jeopardized someone's safety like that? For the record we like Zach and think he's great too- but I'm shocked at all the bench racers chiming in that it's Danny's fault.

Unless your blind, you see Danny lap after lap go for the low spot down in turn one. Zach didnt even have a full wheel in front of Dannys when they touched. Zach got his nose in there and it just bit him this time. He was very out of line for knocking down Dannys front end under yellow. VERY out of line. Zach is a good guy. Anyone who knows him knows that but he is in the wrong on this one.

Video is inconclusive. It is only one angle. Too bad for both drivers. From the stands you could see DJ go from higher line to lower line. Chalk it up as a racing deal. Made for exciting race and drama unfortunately at drivers expense. Put it behind and go race. Good luck to all.

I wasn't there and I hadn't heard about this event before the video, but as a full time modified driver and partial non-wing sprint driver, I have to applaud Danny for his consistent and smooth line. Anyone should know that he was running the bottom in 1 and 2 and the top in 3 and 4. More importantly, listen to how soon he had to get out of the throttle to run the bottom in 1. I could see how the second place car would want to try and out brake the leader into 1 and hope to sneak underneath, but with someone running that consistent of a line the window of opportunity is very narrow.

As a driver, I believe that Danny was racing and Zach tried to make a move, but as I can attest to, sometimes we drivers drive it in a bit too hard and loose it. Danny was racing, and Zach was acting like an 8 year old racing karts when he took out a car under caution.

Even if Danny did come down to a lower line, he never took Zach's nose off. When you are the leader you are suppose to protect. Danny did nothing wrong. I would have done the exact same thing he did.

i don't have a dog in this fight and i could give a rats ass about it, but saying the camera proves the driver didn't see the car under him is krap. it proves nothing. it doesn't prove for certain that the driver didn't see the other car. the driver has eyes that can move and a head that can turn. a driver also has peripheral vision. the camera is stationary.

nice try.

to indy and beyond!!
