Southern Oklahoma Speedway Set to Host USMTS This Friday Night!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – May 14, 2012 - Coming up this weekend is a special Friday edition of racing at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma as the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) comes to town for the tours fourth annual event as part of the tours National Championship Series.
Modified stars expected to compete include Ryan Gustin, Rodney Sanders, Kelly Shryock, Jason Hughes, Stormy Scott, Johnny Scott, Jason Krohn, Dereck Ramirez, Bryan Rowland, Chris Brown, Randy Timms, Rick Beebe and Austin Siebert.
Over fifty drivers from throughout the state of Oklahoma and Texas are expected.
The event will be the first of a two night swing for the series as they will pack up and head to Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas on Saturday night.
The tracks weekly divisions of limited modifieds and stock cars will also be competing. There will be no regular Saturday night racing at the speedway the next two weekends as the Don Davenport Memorial endure race and demolition derby will take place on Saturday night, May 26th.
Weekly racing action resumes on Saturday night, June 2nd.
Gates for this Friday nights USMTS National Championship Series event open at 5:00 pm with racing action set for 7:30 pm.
General Admission is $20.00 for ages 13 & up, $5.00 for kids 6-12 and ages 5 and under are free. Pit Passes are $35.00 for everyone entering the pits.
