A CALL TO ARMS

OCRS SPRINTERS IN FULL ATTACK MODE

( Video version can been viewed HERE )

Tulsa Oklahoma (May 14, 2012) - Heeding the “Call To Arms”, the warriors of the Oil Capital Racing Series sprint car group are armed to the hilt with winged missiles and are ready to storm into the “Palace of Dirt Tracks”, the Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina Oklahoma this Saturday night.

After three torrid battles to date, the OCRS combatants will be ready for further clashes when they embark on the wicked highbanks of the grandest facility in the region in the likes of the Salina Highbanks. In 2011, five years after the track was closed by its previous owners, the “Highbanks” re-opened to rave reviews and the OCRS sprint cars made two stops on the 2011 season with Whit “Gasman” Gastineau winning in June and eventual champion Sean McClelland, taking Labor Day holiday hardware home in September. The OCRS warriors are slated for three battles on the Highbanks in 2012 with Saturday’s clash the first of those. With track management adding additional loads upon loads of new clay in the off-season, the racing surface is sure to be at its premium.

Race fans can expect to see new amenities from the track as well. Most specific is the open faced upper level bar on the north end of the enclosed suites that compliments the FinishLine restaurant. On the lower level, fans will find an expansion of the tracks concession area also on the north end. VIP and FinishLine area seating are available for Saturday’s showdown.

Danny “Caretaker” Smith, ‘Jammin’ Jamie Passmore, Rafe Essary, Casey Wills, Whit “Gasman” Gastineau. Casey Wills, Alex Sewell, Josh “Hammer” Toho, Tim & ‘Hotrod’ Kent, Alex Sewell, Shayla “Princess” Waddell and Kenneth Walker are just a handful of warriors expected to take on all challengers on the ultra-fast banked battlefield.

Rest assured that Saturday night will be an action packed affair with high-speed, nail biting, knee knocking, teeth chattering racing experience. Come on out to the “Palace” and see what winged sprint cars can do on a track tailor made for speed, power and agility. Get ready Salina; it’s time for a full-fledged assault in your town!

Oh your still allowed on this web site. First your series does questionable things at Brills and now you advertise another racing web site on this racing site. Wow what class all of you have. I will never go to a OCRS race again!!!!

Ted

I think these videos are doing more harm than good. Yes, they are bringing more of a spotlight on to the series but they are done wrong and bringing the wrong attention. I do not know what creditinals the PR guy as far as marketing and what not but these videos are becoming a laugh to some. When you mention another racing web site on another without even mentioning the one you are posting on you alienate the regulars of that board. Racing fans are a fickle bunch as well. You do something wrong to them over and over again and you have lost them forever. This is twice this series has done somthing to people based out of the okc metro area.

There is a battle between the two sites as to who is the better site and who can get the more scoop etc etc. However, the owner of this site as goofy as he is sometimes, mean that in a good way Dave, would never fall to that level. He has feelers all around this region and is well respected by his peers. So for him to do something like this would be a slap to his website as well as to the racing journalism industry.

The last video at the horse track in Tulsa was brutal. I love sprint car racing, but I just can't watch crap like that.

Photo's from June 2011 OCRS stop at Salina Highbanks Speedway.

Action like this will be plentiful when OCRS stops at the Highbanks this Saturday!

Jerrod Wilson (15x) battles with Rafe Essary (26)

Shayla Waddell (88s) and Mike Goodman (4am). This pic is also in the June edition of Flat Out magazine with the story on OCRS.

Another fine shot by Mike Howard........ 3 wide!!!
