Copied from there website:

With last weeks 5 Plus Inches of rain. the 1st chance the guys had to work the track was today, and the surface is not where we would like it. The track would likely be pretty rough, and we don't want to tear up a bunch of equipment. This coupled with tomorrow Nights Forecasted lows in the 40's a 40% chance of rain and a strong NW wind, I am making the difficult decision to postpone the event again.

However I am excited to announce that we are putting together an incredible "Plan C" for the Spring Nationals. We are going to move the Spring Nationals to June 1st and Combine it with our IRA 410 Outlaw Sprint Car Race.

We are working on the details of this race as we speak. Many details will be coming out in the next day or so on this Make up Date. I wanted to get the word out early, so everyone can make alternative plans.

Hey...

Too bad about Jackson - was really hoping to get down there this week. Made it as far as Fairmont last week before the tornado outbreak grounded me at my parent's house there.

Looks like the Southern Minnesota Sprint Car season will start at Fairmont on May 19th. The JSTS Sprints will be there racing for $2,000 to win, $1,200 for second and $700 for third and $250 to start.

Hope to see you all there... Sprint Car racers, free vendor space is being provided for t-shirt and merchandise sales before the event behind the grandstand.

So I wonder if they will allow the 360's to also run with the 410's (as long as they put Goodyears on the rear and have a flat wing) or will guys have to choose which class they are running in?

Should be a great night of racing.

Of course you can run your 360 C.I. in the 410 C.I. class. You would probably not be as competitive racing against the 410's, especially on the big 1/2 miler @ Jackson.

I would think that you would get to race in both classes provided that you have 1 car for the 360's & 1 car for the 410's.

Plus some of the best 360 C.I. drivers like Jason & Wayne Johnson & Jack Dover probably will not be able to make it on June 1 because of the rescheduled ASCS National Sprint race at I-30 Speedway that evening (which was suppose to be held this weekend & was washed out by rain).

Actually they just changed the I-30 dates to June 29-30 so hopefully that will allow many of the 360 hot dogs to come up to Jackson.

I guess my comment above was if a driver could use the same car and run both the IRA and 360 portion. They would only have to change rear tires to run both (if they have a flat wing that IRA requires). That would give the guys a shot to get more track time and $$$ even if they don't make the show but if the track slicks up I have seen an ASCS 360 be competitive against the IRA even on a half mile.

Still will be a great open wheel show.
