Charlotte, N.C. — Hendrickcars.com has announced a partnership with Kraig Kinser for the remainder of the 2012 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
Kinser, who drives the No. 11K which is owned by his father - 20-time World of Outlaws champion Steve Kinser, is currently fifth in the series standings.
“Having a name and a brand that's recognized worldwide like Hendrickcars.com on our car is an honor and a great thing for the entire sport of sprint car racing," Kraig Kinser said. "We're looking forward to building on the strong start to the season that we’ve had and battling for wins all year long.”
“We’re passionate about cars – selling them and seeing them on a racetrack,” said Chris Little, director of variable operations for Hendrick Automotive Group. “Kraig is an excellent driver and his family has such a rich history in racing. We’re looking forward to working with him, and selling more cars to the loyal and passionate sprint car fan base.”
Kinser is a third-generation driver, following in the footsteps of his father Steve and grandfather Bob. The Bloomington, Ind., native has ten career feature wins including sprint car racing’s biggest event - the Knoxville Nationals - in 2005. He won Rookie of the Year honors in 2004.
“It’s a big boost for us to have Hendrickcars.com on board,” Kinser said. “It puts an extra bounce in our step and a smile on our face. Knowing that we have their support will make the year go a lot smoother, that’s for sure.”
The World of Outlaws will stage some 80 races from coast-to-coast and Canada this year. Kinser will have a couple opportunities to race in Charlotte, near the headquarters of Hendrickcars.com, as the World of Outlaws visits The Dirt Track at Charlotte on May 25 and again for the season-ending Lowes Foods World Finals on Nov. 1-3.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Anyone remember what happened the last time Kraig was in a car owned by his dad with a good sponsor? He won the Nationals.

Since they have been announcing it, can you reveal it for us who have yet to hear about it?

Just thinking outside the box, but Tony Stewart is associated with Hendricks, more or less a satelite team, and thus helping out Steve through Tony???
