This weekend brings a much awaited end to the off season at Thunderbird
Speedway. The speedway located at the Muskogee fairgrounds kicks off the 2012
season this Friday and Saturday with the "Morgan Towing Micro Nationals". The
racing action will all be held on the 1/8 mile oval with the fast paced, winged
micro sprints putting on a great show. The cars have motor cycle engines in them
and are known for their high horsepower to weight ratio. Drivers from all across
Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas are expected to be on hand. The racing action kicks
off Friday at 6pm with a practice session that is free to watch from the
grandstands. Racing on Saturday will begin at 5 pm with admission just $8 to the
grandstands. Action on the historic 1/2 mile will kick off with the second
annual Tailgate party, car show, and open practice on March 17th. The first race
on the 1/2 mile will be held on March 30th and will be a warm up for the
"Charlie Fulton Memorial" MARS Late Model Show on April 6th. Many changes and
improvements are on going at the speedway including the addition of weekly Late
Models. 2012 is looking to be a fun and exciting season. for complete infomation

They have taken the rain out of the forecast for Friday. Only a slight chance Saturday and sunny Sunday so if we had to we can race Sunday. We have extra equipment on standby and are looking forward to a great weekend
