Steve Irwin wins Michigan Traditional Sprints inaugural event @ Merritt Speedway.
At the start of the A Main Mike elliot took an early 1 lap lead until the 9r of Jim Heeney made an outside pass in turn 2 and would lead until a lap 5 caution caused by a tangle between Elliot and Gary Hayward. On the restart Steve Irwin would take advantage on the outside of Heeney and lead the rest of the feature to his first win of the 2007 season. John Lowe would make a strong 2nd place finish followed by Heeney, Mike Astrouskas and Tim Champlin.
