sprinter79 correct me if i'm wrong but last years race at kankakee was made up of mostly ira drivers with some mowa drivers in there. most of the mowa drivers who showed up usually run the sprint invaders shows at jacksonville. i think most of those drivers will support jacksonville's sprint invader race because the track has been looking for someone to take over promoting duties, and a good strong car count for the sprint invader's race would help show possibe promoters it is worth the time. also supporting jacksonville speedway would be important because it was mowa's home track last year and most members are jacksonville regulars. jacksonville is the only track in illinois that ran weekly sprint shows and i believe the jacksonville regulars want their weekly racing back because some guys can't afford to travel. guys who can not afford to travel and the ira series not running i believe will hurt kankakee's car count. be interesting to see what happens. i could be wrong

Maybe, I wasn't at the Kankakee race last year and I wasn't even aware that they had one until this post came up. One of the down sides to trying to run your own program I guess. I couldn't imagine that the invader guys would come all of this way to run a 410 show, being as they are 360 guys. But then again I also do not know how many of them have 410's or how many of them run them. So I guess that it is possible. I would figure however that the Invader race would not draw away too many 410 guys being as the Invaders is a 360 club, but there again, I don't know how many guys with the 410's in Jacksonville have 360s. So I guess that it could go either way. It will be interesting to see however. I hope that the Kankakee show does not hurt car count at Jacksonville because we plan on racing there (Jacksonville). Even though we will be a back marker, it is allot more fun to be whooped by 30 cars over 16. Lets hope that all of the shows in Illinois are awesome this year. AS for running the Kankakee show, I guess that just got blown out of the water for us as we will need to be in Jacksonville. Funny how that works, I didn't even notice that the dates were the same.

Conflicting shows in Illinois? Wish we had that problem more often. It will be inteesting to see what happens. I hope there ae two shows and both ae very successful. When the Outlaws ran LaSalle a few years ago the place was packed but they didn't come back. Maybe noone is willing to put that much money on the line. Kasey Kahne sponsered that race and it was Napcar weekend so I'm sue that helped. They (Outlaws) used to run at rt 66 but the dust there was just horrible, you couldn't even watch the race.Too bad they don't fix that track and run some shows.
I was just wondeing if you always race at night what good is that solar panel?lol
Bring back Santa Fe, and LaSalle .

Yeah, that is a good question, I had never thought about that. I was surprised the first time that I was asked that question. Imagine how surprised I was the second time that it happened. But now I have a better answer than the one that I have been using. Thanks............ As for Rt66. The last time that the Outlaws ran there they had to stop the show half way through so that teams could replace RR tires. I have never been to a race that ripped off as many RR tires as they did that night. It was sad. I worked next to that track for two years before I got laid off last November. They don't do squat with that place. It is sad. They massage the parking lots, clean the big track, take care of the dragstrip, and that dirt track goes untouched. Basically it is a demolition track only now. I think that by now it would take so much money to fix it up that we might as well forget it. They did have an open practice there last year for whoever wanted to come out with a dirt car, but I think that the turnout sucked. But whatever, it could be a world class dirt track but that requires some effort.
