Hey everyone. We will be staying the full week of Gold Cup at the track and have been advised by track that reserved camping is full. They said to show up early Monday morning to get what is left, which is "first come first serve". My husband is saying he doesn't want to tow the trailer all the way there (from Washington) and not get a spot or have a spot in the middle of the road or whatever. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have been there before (to track) but have never camped there. Thanks for any help you can give!

Alot of people will be coming from Calistoga (on Monday)so if you get there on Monday morning you will get a spot... it might not be a spot with a dump but you will have power and water. and the dump guy comes by and will empty your tanks for a small fee..

hope this helps and see you at Gold Cup!!!

This will be my first Gold Cup. Will there be camping available on Wednesday afternoon? I need room for a SUV and a few tents.

As long as you don't need RV hook-ups you can find somewhere to set up camp. Just a heads-up though, first week of the GSC season the fairgrounds charged us the same to dry camp that all those with full hook-ups paid.

Camping is still available at the fair grounds. What is left is "First come First Serve" and if you are there early in the week you won't have a problem. There are showers on the grounds as well. We have plenty of Non Reserved area and tent areas available. Even some of the areas inside with out full hook-ups may be able to get electricity.

I just wish that Gold Cup and the World 100 were not on the same weekend!! Would be nice to get back up to Chico for that show.
