I have a good friend who has every single Gambler scribed piece for an old 100" race car, but this--

a "Gambler" pitman/steering arm that is mounted to the steering gear. Seems this is the one single thing that eludes him to complete his car the way he is determined to.

Anybody got one laying around they could sell?

Go to the top of this page, click on 'go'

that will take you back to the main page.

Go straight to the bottom, there should be a 'new topic' window down there, is on mine anyway.

Type in your title on the slim top window

Put in your item on the larger lower window.

It would be cool to have either lightened or not I'm sure. Could you look for that please? Gambler is out of business from what we can tell, or they just don't answer the phone anymore.

Thank you

hey Brian,... found it, appears to be the one. Gambler scribed with 4 machined holes like the ones on the steering arm you have pictured, looks to have came that way. (Kevin 405. 329-4575)

We ended up finding 2 of these thanks to 22bark and Mike Gossman! Right in OkC!

These pieces will go to the right place thanks to you guys for making it happen! Money isn't the issue, but what I've found is that sincerity usually leads to more. Hell my orange 26 super is mostly from pakage deals in which those people wanted to see the old vintage cars back out there, somewhere. I don't really feel like the owner sometimes, but a caretaker of a small part that helps racing somehow, somewhere. My payoff is getting to have it here to tinker with, and drag to places. I do have to pay in many ways like the rest of you, which I gladly do.

I do not forget honest goodwill.

It is in the spirit this issue got taken care of, that once again makes me damn proud to be from right dammitt here! Yup, take it to the bank.

Salute to you guys!

First thanks to Brian for getting the search started. Second a big thanks to Michael Gossman and KEVIN Barksdale. You ntwo really stepped up with the stearing arms. It goes to show the Oklahoma boys can get it done. Thanks again Trammel Keven tells me the car I have they owned before selling it to Gene Irons in El Reno. I saw the pictures when it had a black frame and body. Also he told me Steve Gastonow owned it and he got it from Suchey. I hope I got this info straight. If anyone known any history on my Gambler car let us know. Thanks Trammel

Hey vour welcome man. On the history, as far as i know your Gambler was drove by Shane Carson early in its life ( orange & yellow #74 dirt champ),

Than on to Steve Cruthers, ...than sold to my brother, and was ran as a super modifed at O.K.C and a series MAPS. in like 87-90. .... so as i recall ??

I messed up thinking Steve Gastineau (spelling?) owned the car , but it looks like I'm wrong there. Totally my fault , not Trammell's.

Did Steve Caruthers drive it as a Dirt Champ Car in 1986?

Was it this car, the black framed Gambler from 1985?
