CAN THE PAS GO 9-FOR-9 SATURDAY? MILLER NAILS 2ND CRA WIN, TAKING VENTURA FEATURE
The Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars return to Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway Saturday, with Tony Jones continuing as the series leader. The track has already produced eight different winners in eight races this year.
Jones finished fifth in last Saturday’s race at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway and has a sizeable 145-point lead over Mike Spencer in the latest standings.
Blake Miller of Yorba Linda, Calif. appears to be the hottest driver in the series, though, winning again for the second time in three races. Miller and the Black Widow/Gardner Pipe & Mechanical Sled/Shaver led the final 10 laps of Saturday’s 30-lap race at Ventura, beating Spencer, Danny Sheridan, Rip Williams and Jones to the checkered flag. David Cardey led the fist 20 laps but finished 15th.
Miller has a first and a third in five starts at The PAS this season but still stands outside the top-10 in series points!
