Set your DVR for the Badger and Brewer games folks, cause the IRA season finale Dick Witt Checkered Flag Classic is at Dodge County and is the place to be on Saturday night. The weather is looking clear, just might have to put on the long undies to stay warm. Should be a decent field of cars. Saw on Mark Dobmeier's twitter that they're on their way down. Who else is coming? Should be a great show. See you there!

no reason to DVR. wisconsin fans are in for some big disappointment. Brewers aren't playing the Pirates or Astros and SUCKY is actually playing a division 1 team.

Should be a great show tonight. I am thinking probably 30 IRA and 30 MSA sprinters in the house. Quite a few of the IRA guys who usually don't takle the 1/2 mile have to run tonight to meet the point fund criteria of 75% of the shows. Imagine might pick up Tatnel, McCarl and maybe a couple of IL guys. Hopefully they move the show along.

Lets see now Brewers win 4 to 1 and Wisconsin wins 48 to 17. It would seem that Strange is Ofer on his prognostigations but then again when has he ever really been on the mark? Have a nice off season Strange and try polishing that crystal ball a bit. It seems to be a bit hazy.

Well, it was definitely a battle royale out there tonight, but I will say this...
DOBS IS THE MAN!!!
It took him a while to find the groove in the A, but once he did...wow! The three-wide pass for the lead that he put on Brooke, in traffic, was awesome! Glad he made the trek down to Dodge for the show.
Congrats to the 5j team for their win in the MSA race as well. Jeremy ran a good race.
Biertzer, Nietzel, Reinke, Haddy, and Neitzel again in his 360, all managed to get upside-down in their respective A-mains. It was wild and wooley out there, to say the least.
Can't wait to hear everyone else's opinions on tonights festivities. Lol!

Nice show tonight. Probably too much wreckage tonight but any wreckage is actually too much wreckage.
The travelers came to town and left with the loot. Dobmeier and Tatnell finished in that order. The Fisher in Dobmeier's 13 seemingly trenching the front straight with every pass. Mike Reinke looked to maybe have something for the travelers early but contact with the turn 4 wall in traffic and the ensueing flip ended his evening. Mike Kertcher was third, Billy Balog was forth (with a flopping top wing) when the checkered finally waved..
The MSA feature was interesting in itself. The 5j of Jeremy Schultz bolted out to a commanding lead. Eventually Scotty Neitzel worked his way to second and a very focused and fortified Ben Schmitt to third. Unfortunately the speed of the track and the intensity of the racing would claim both Neitzel and Schmitt in one instant.. The 5j was not to be denied as he drove off into the cool evening air with Davis a safe distance back in second at the end.
Never start fast projects with half fast ideas!!

Appeared that Reinke made contact with the 4th turn wall after a lapper went from the bottom to the top! Way to much speed difference between the top 8 or so cars and the rest of the field.
Reinke passed the 17b, 3, 19, 13 in turn 1 and 2 and the 80k off 4 all on the 1st lap, Tatnell appeared to be next. I think Reinke was the car to beat tonight but guess we will never know.

Great IRA portion. Good way to end the year. Never saw Dobmeier in person before. Wow! Seems like a really cool dude too. It was good to see a good line-up for a change. All the fast guys together with a chance to win. Unfortunately it didn't take the fast guys long to quickly find the Wilmot type guys. As was said before, too much speed difference. Too much talent difference as well. I actually felt bad for Reinke, whose always whining anyway. Good to see Scott Young back. Hope to see him more next year.
As for the Brewers, a couple of really cheap hits decided that game. As for SUCKY, if that game is at Nebraska, the score is reversed.

agreed about reinke, he made an amazing move there, right at the start. too bad. I was lucky enough to see dobmeier in person at knoxville this summer, so I kind of expected him to win. really an exciting pass too, got the crowd on it's feet. seems like a lot of people don't care for dodge county, but it's my favorite track near milwaukee.
