Friends of Sprint Car, and Midget racing.
Tom Davey, photographer and writer for NSSN, and Open Wheel Magazine,
as well as a inductee of the Belleville Highbanks Hall of Fame, and the BCRA
Hall of Fame could use cheering up. Tom has inoperable cancer, and though he cannot
get around very well, greatly would appreciate hearing from you. You may remember
Tom from his column in Speed Sport News about Colorado racing. This column
later belonged to Bill Hill, and his writings entitled "Hill on Wheels" Tom
also was a active competitor in the RMMRA midget ranks, and finished
in 10th place in points in the BCRA Sprint Car point standings in 1960.
After a layoff from racing in the 1960's and 1970's, Tom returned as a writer
and photographer for NSSN, and Open Wheel Magazine. During the last thirty
years Tom has covered every Belleville Midget Nationals, and the Chili Bowl
for most of that time. Tom has also covered many other events conducted in the
Heartland during this time with his best friend Jerry Miller.
Tom's family has stated that even though he is not receiving phone calls,
he really enjoys reading letters, and cards from his many friends in racing.
Thanks for your support.
