Next Scheduled Event for Enid Speedway Cancelled

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas - September 15, 2011 - Due to the unresolved issues due to the damage at the Garfield County Fairgrounds, officials with Speedways, Inc. regret to inform that the next scheduled event of races, slated for Sunday night, September 25 at Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma has been cancelled.

Last months storms caused widespread damage at the track and the fairgrounds insurance as yet to resolve matters on their end, forcing officials to cancel their second event in as many months.

The Enid Speedway Winter Nationals is still on schedule as planned and will take place Friday – Sunday night, October 28-30, 2011 with more details forthcoming.

This don't surprise me at all with Garfield Co, rumor has been if they don't get it fixed before the end of the year than C. Ray will not take it on for next year, does anyone know any truth to this. Its just sad.
