I'm stunned.......I always thought I would eventually meet this guy. Thoughts go out to closest family and friends. From everything I've heard Petey was one nice dude.

WOW, He really liked to talk to people & he was like Will Rogers in a way. Probably didn't meet very many he didn't like. He bought a couple of Khane midgets from me that were signed & kinda give me hell because I didn't tell him they were signed. Met him at the Mopar Million & sat with him at 2004 Nats. R.I.P. Corey.

Dang, this is horrible news, what happened??? Petey told it like he saw it and was always open to debate if you had a differing view, he was very special, a throwback to the old days. One thing for sure Duane has a new buddy, RIP old friend.....

Very sorry to hear this news...RIP you will be missed Petey. He was always a good read on these forums. I only wish I had the chance to have met him personally. Very sad indeed.

Is there any obituary information? We would dearly love to send a special message to the family.

I always enjoyed seeing Petey & his dad at I-55 for the few WoO shows I've seen there over the years. He was a lot like me in the sense that he went to the winged shows that were closer to home, but liked to get out to Indiana and see some nonwing racing when he could get away. He was always good for a smile and a laugh... you will be missed... RIP buddy

I talked with Petey's Dad today, very sad to say the least. He was having trouble with work, pressure I assume and a doctor prescribed a antidepressent and it did the worse thing and Petey took his own life..
