Sprint Invaders Season Decided at Jacksonville/West Burlington this Weekend!

(Bill W) September 7, 2011 – It all comes down to Friday and Saturday for the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders. A season champion will be crowned after racing at the Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois on Friday, followed by the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on Saturday!

Anything can happen this weekend! Will two-time series' champion Bobby Mincer become the first three-time titlist, or will Matt Sutton, who looms just 15 points behind grab his first? Great weekends by two-time champions, Kaley Gharst and Ryan Jamison could give them their third titles as well!

Friday will mark the first appearance for the series at Jacksonville in 2011. A June date was flooded out. Jerrod Hull remains the only driver in series' history to win there on more than one occasion. He has three victories at the ¼-mile banked oval. In 2010, Hull and Joey Moughan took wins in Jacksonville with the Sprint Invaders.

Something has to give at 34 Raceway on Saturday as well. Ben Wagoner has won three of the last four Sprint Invaders shows, including last weekend in Quincy, and the last time the series visited West Burlington. Matt Sutton was also victorious in the other half of the Twin Features that evening, and he also won a feature last year at 34!

Grandstands in Jacksonville open Friday at 5:00 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30, and racing to follow! For more information, visit www.JacksonvilleSpeedway.com!

Grandstands open at 34 Raceway Saturday at 5:00 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30, and racing to follow! Adult tickets are $16, with seniors and students priced at $14. Kids 10 and under are FREE. For more information, visit www.34Raceway.com!
