Now that my pc is virus free, is there a way you can burn online videos (from dirtvision, other media outlets) to DVD? If so, how?

David, the online videos are downloaded as .flv files. I bought a program for $29 called emicsoft flv converter. I then converted them to .wmv files in that program. Then I use windows dvd maker to burn them to dvds. The quality is pretty good.

Does the same concept work if you have a mac? Does the program you have work with mac also?

The program I used is a Windows DVD Maker that is a Microsoft program so it wouldn't work on a Mac. A wmv file is a Windows Media File. I think you would need to find a DVD burner program that is specifically for Macs. And then whatever format the .flv would need to be in to work on Mac DVD burner program you would need to find a program that would convert the .flv to the format needed.
