Can someone please confirm that Elko Speedway will have MICRO sprint car class racing on October 14-15? If so, then I will be there racing with my micro sprint car since my 360 motor blew up. Thanks in advance!

Greg Gunderson

Send an email to Ron Bernhagen [email protected] and he should have the details.

Pasted from this link: http://micro.umsprints.com/news/?i=9299 UMSS Micros at SCVR for Exhibition 9/17/2011 During the final night of the Final Showdown event at the St. Croix Valley Raceway on September 17, two UMSS micro sprints featuring 600cc engines were on hand to run a couple of exhibition races. The goal of the UMSS is to grow this series at St. Croix Valley Raceway in upcoming years with the plan to also include a kart track on the property. The two micro sprints were driven by youngster Jalen Morris and oldtimer George Knudsen. Jalen piloted his family owned #17 micro while George was in his #29 micro. The micros are scheduled to run at Elko Speedway in the middle of October. At present, series officials are contacting area cars to see if enough of them will be on hand. Stay tuned during the off-season for further information on this series.

No Micros at Elko Greg. See the post on that subject. That was a last minute change that was just announced today (Tuesday Oct. 4).

That is bummer. Stan and Chuck, thank you for letting me know. I will start taking this micro sprint car all apart and get it ready for next year. I still hope to come to Elko next weekend with my sprint car if I got a motor to rent out or team up with someone. Thanks again, Greg
