Dear Racers of Aug. 6th Sprint Car Race "VRP",

As you know, this is our first year of operating "VRP". Several policies were already in place when we took over "VRP" that we just adapted as standard operating practices. One that was in place was sending out Checks for Pay-Outs, as you know there were several issue with that in the past, so I changed that to where all Drivers were Paid in Cash Night of Show.....As a Racer myself with Exhibition Acts, (My Jet Cars) when I perform, I want to be Paid, and would much rather receive Cash after my performance rather than worry about receiving a check as we perform across the United States. The policy in place for Pay-Outs when we took over was the Purse pay-outs were based on Car Counts. The policy was how many Cars took the Green Flag is what the Car count and pay-out was to be for that night.
I don't do the Pay-Outs, My girl tells me what she needs for Purse, and I give her that Cash. In this case, 20 Cars did sign in, but only 19 took the Green Flag. She asked for purse for 19 cars and Paid that out in Cash. The one Car did flip in the Heat Races, and could not Race in the Main Event. After reviewing this Policy, like the Check Policy that was in place, I feel that had he not crashed, (Not his Fault) he would have made the Main Event making it a Full Field. Moving forward, I am changing the Policy that Cars that Sign In and make a honest effort to Race is what the Car Count should be based on. I know 20 Cars made a honest attempt to Race Sat Night, so I will pay the Full Field Purse for this Event. In looking at everything, I feel that this is the Fair thing to do, and I apologize to the Race Teams for this on the envelope situation, and Old Policy.
I have calculated out who has what coming, and you can have it either by e-mailing to me Driver Name and Address, and I will Mail you a Check, or you can take the amount listed and have a Credit at the Pit Gate for Entry's at the next event.......E Mail me at [email protected] I will also say that rational people will figure things out and do the right, and honest thing, but personnel attacks on a persons character that you do not even know is just flat wrong. So "Cowboy", or who ever the hell you are, because I certainly don't know you, maybe you should think a little before you Judge and Slander someone!
The following are the Pay-Outs that the Drivers have coming, and once again I apologize to the Drivers for this honest mistake.
Sincerely,
Steve Quercio

Hi Steve,
Thank you for the Retroactive Policy change. I was embarrassed by the slander that was pointed in your direction,
nobody that is trying to keep sprint car racing alive and looking for ways to improve the sport deserves that.
Also thanks for what turned out to be a very good night of racing, watching Charles Davis Jr. come from
the back of the pack and almost duplicate what the Demon did a few years ago at Perris was a real thrill.
Would you let a Midget race with the Sprint Cars on October 1st if one wanted to?
Its going to take some time, but if you keep making improvements that benefit the racers and fans you will
succeed.
Don

Steve,

I held my opinion on the other thread about the payout policy. I think the new policy is fair and reflects the effort the teams have made to support the track. Thank you for being flexible enough to examine the way things run and make changes for the better.

Keep on keeping on...

Steve. you are a stand up guy. Thank you for taking care of business. We will be at any and all 410 events at Victorville, and next year maybe with 2 cars.

Steve, Awesome to see you step up. We need more promoters like you. I was skeptical of VV at first, but I am now very excited to attend your next event. Thanks for supporting 410's and Sprint Cars in general.

Thanks to all the Arizona teams that came to Victorville. It was nice to see you guys there. Also Bob Ream, how many people noticed the shark fin on the top of his helmet? While waiting in line for mud packing i noticed it and said hey i like the shark fin, Bob said hey, its shark week. In my book that makes him one of the coolest guys around, thanks Bob. Also thanks to Jake McVey for taking time to come over and check out my car. Nice guy. We will be going to Canyon speedway for the usac race.

Since Steve does whatever anyone who complains says: I demand Steve run the next sprint car feature backward and make it a 67 lap feature with two mandatory pit stops and a driver change. If he doesn't I'm never coming back.

Steve, you keep telling us what a great businessman you are, then you should know the customer isn't always right.

Hi Derp....Your confused!!! I never said I was a good businessman...Hell,
look at what I do for a business, running a Race Track...(Not the brightest
thing to do (lol).....Derp...Creditably and Honesty is very important to me.
Victorville has had a Shady Background at best over the years with Drivers not

getting Paid etc. The old system (Cars that take the Green is car count) in
my opinion was not Fair when 20 cars did show up and made a Honest effort to
Race. It is critical for the success of "VRP" for the Racers and Fans to have
Trust in the Promoter, and not appear to be a shady unethical Promoter only out
for the Money. By making the Change and paying the full field, yes we did lose
some money, but so did the Racers that supported us. No one is going get rich
doing this!!!! Sure I could of stood by my guns and said "Sorry 19 cars took the
Green" that how it is, and kept the additional Money, But I remember seeing the
crashed Sprint car in the infield thinking, man that thing is wasted...(I feel
bad for those guys)......It would not have been right to cut all the Cars that
are supporting us, so I made the policy change and took a little hit. But I had
a good night sleep knowing I did do the right thing! They can say whatever they
want about me on this Board..."He is a Jerk"...."Doesn't know what he is
doing"....."He sucks"....But the one thing I will make sure they will never say
is "He doesn't pay the Drivers, and is a Crook". I am doing the best we can,
with the Budget we have to work with....(Just like most Racers)....And I do
disagree with you...My Racers and my Spectators are my Customers.....and you
have to listen, evaluate what they say, then make my decision and do the right
thing........Derp...I have missed you....Come on out to "VRP" unless you are
already there lurking in the shadows....(lol)

The whole Derp clan hides in the shadows most alway's. The only thing that can lure then out is the smell of methanol.

Mr. Promoter ...derp is a man of honor..his word is his bond..derp said-

'I demand Steve run the next sprint car feature backward and make it a 67 lap feature with two mandatory pit stops and a driver change. If he doesn't I'm never coming back. " you lost one customer...but your your actions gained you a lot of respect from spectators and racers alike
