I know, I said that I wouldn't ask any more questions, but the earlier discussion has has my mind wondering.
The Brodix ASCS head has sure grown the 360 fields. Would a ASCS head bolt on to the Brodix or Donovan 410 block? How much would it limit a 410, power wise? If it would be too restrictive, how much would they have to be "opened up" to knock a 410 down to where a team could double the time between rebuilds?
Inquiring minds want to know.

To answer your question, yes the ASCS head would "bolt on". The ASCS heads are 23 degree valve angles, and 410's are 12 to 15 degree, big difference!. In my humble opinon the best way to extend the life of 410's is to limit the compression ratio's. 13 to 1 will last an easy 20 nights of racing. 18 to 1 that some now run will only last three to four nights, if your lucky!

We run a 410 kistler engine in Aust and have done 23 race meetings between rebuilds, the motor was striped down and was still like new, but we dont give the motor big revs . 8000/82000 max.
They will go the distance if you look after them.
