Has anyone sean the rules for there sprint car class ? Would like to see this type of class running here in iowa. Are there any track operators or owners out there interested in nonwing cars running at there track with theses rules ?

I was at Valley last night to watch the 40 lap feature. Started 10 cars. Two got together on a lap 1 incident and both were out. Two more cars had mechanical issues on lap 1 restart and we were down to 6 cars.
While there was a decent past for the lead, it was mostly a boring race. I would deffinitely not call the rules at Valley something to build upon. While the open engine concept pleases some, I am not sure that it is going to lead to a large growth in the class.

I also see HRA sprints and there rule seem to have a decent group of sprints. Would really like to see some sort of non wing spec class of sprint cars in this area. Finding a place to race and getting guys involved is not easy in imca country .

We had a good 305 Non-Wing Series here in Iowa from 2003 to 2005. It went down hill as soon as there was somewhere to run with a wing. It was a lot more fun than running with the wing. Not to mention the cost was way less.

What about sticking with the current 305 engine rules and try to find a place to run weekly? I would say friday nights. We have alot of 305 in the area just need a place to run.
